PROJECT ANNOTATION:

The Survey of Railway Line Attractiveness in the Bohemian-Bavarian and Bohemian-Saxon Regions was carried out in the procurement. The goal of the whole study was to create proposals to improve the attractiveness of selected railway lines – (Karlovy Vary / Mariánské Lázně) – Cheb – Hof, (Karlovy Vary / Mariánské Lázně) – Cheb – Plauen) – primarily with regard to leisure time activities and tourism. The survey produced an analysis of railway lines, an overview of the actors on the territory, an analysis of railway transport tariffs, an analysis of transport accessibility of selected towns by train, and an overview of the attractive tourism industry features in relevant Bohemian, Bavarian and Saxon regions. A part of the document included propositions for the gradual improvement of train utilization on the analysed territory including estimates of their benefits. Another section provides maps for the surrounding areas of selected railway stations.
